I may not always want to read all of them but I love the look, the feel and the smell of new books. I love everything except the smell and the occasional silver fish of the old books. I just did a visit to Barnes and Noble and found a couple of good reads and a beautiful visual book.
The first book I would like to mention is Handmade Nation the Rise of DIY, Art, Craft, and Design, by Faythe Levine and Cortney Heimerl. It shows a bunch of artist across our country who are making a living off of there hand made goods. I love it!! I especially fell in love with Annie Mohaupt from Chicago who makes shoes!! Her website is www.mohop.com. I love shoes the funkier the better. I will be ordering a pair from her and I will show them when they arrive! Jenny Doh I hope you got that info down in case you don't already know about her!!
The other book is a visual book full of interesting information about Marie Antoinette's private cottage and gardens. It is titled, Marie Antoinette and the last garden at Versailles, by Christian Duvernois.
Another fun book is A little bit of velvet and a dash of lace, by Robin Brown aka Magnolia Pearl. Lots of visual inspirations as well as the last book I mentioned.
I shall try and hunt down the first...I've seen the third, and it is a visual feast. Love her stuff, ever since I saw it a few years ago in a magazine. She totally creates her own world...

I have the Magnolia Pearl book also. It is a visual feast and so inspiring, I find myself carrying it from room to room.....
I may have to check out the other books you mentioned. Thanks for the info!
