One of my favorite places to visit is the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. I have had a lot of fun memories there through the years. But the best memory so far is the one that I shared with my family last weekend when we did a little road trip to go to a wedding.
It was terribly disappointing to find out that they had removed the original old style photo booths. I was looking forward to going to the arcade because it was one of the only places that I still knew of having the vintage style booths. I hate change!! The photos taken above are from the new booths. Just not the same texture and size.
My dream is to own a working vintage booth and have it my living room so friends and family could randomly take photos. I know it sounds corny but I just love the silly images!!
It was a bit hard, dragging my son on this trip. He is a full fledge teenager and all he wants to do is hang out with his friends. Todd was adamant that we all went together and I am so thankful for that. It was wonderful to have had that time together as a family. Life goes by so quickly, it seems like the girls should still be riding in there car seats.
I have always thought there was something magical about this place. My sons middle name is actually Cruz. We named him that seventeen years ago because we always had so much fun here!
We took the photos below at the wedding. It was a great surprise to see a photo booth there with dress up hats and wigs. Priceless memories! I was based in San Francisco for a couple of years before I had my kids and I had forgotten how much I love Northern California. It is so beautiful with so many adventures to be had!!

Awe, you had the best family fun! My aunt lives in Santa Cruz, I will have to ask her about the boardwalk.
