I was so excited when I found these large metal vintage watch part cases. They are the perfect container to display small objects, like the French treasures that I have collected. I have been waiting for a perfect home for the tattered paper bird shown below for quite some time.
I am also loving the vintage French hand carved meerschaum and the large ivory piece with the caved image of Jesus, they mix so beautifully with gemstones.
I had so much fun working on pieces today. I just love thinking about the history of each piece and imagining who's hands had created it so long ago.
Your work is so beautiful! I love the precious objects you put in those tiny containers.
I've played around with a couple of reproduction perfume lockets and creating little world's inside them, like little collections, or little shrines.
