My class at Jenny's is full, but I will be teaching at Gina's pad in Malibu on September 17th. You can sign up here if you are interested. I am so excited about these up coming classes. I cannot wait to spend the day sharing with everyone!!
I am planning on going on some treasure hunting for some fun goodies while I am in Michigan. My favorite little flea market that was held in the country at an old barn closed up a few years ago. I always looked so forward to it, it just breaks my heart that it is gone. If anyone knows of any good flea markets in Michigan in June and July I would love to know about them!! I just realized that I am going to be missing the Ann Arbor flea market by just a few days. Gosh darn it, I was not thinking when I booked my tickets!!
Well, I am always excited about a new adventure, hopefully there will be some in store for all of us this summer!!
Heather has produced another wonderful FREE on-line magazine called Souvenir. If you haven't already signed up to receive it you can do so by going here http://oi.vresp.com/?fid=27142754c9. There are some really fun recipes and summer and how to's in this issue.
I was looking at my Mother's day gifts that I received from my daughters this year and they made me crack!! I had to share them. The first photo shows a cornucopia that my Sophia made me filled with paper flowers granting me a wish. The favors read like this, One hug, I will vacuum,I will wash the car and my favorite ,"I will be quit for thirteen minutes". She is my chatty girl. The picture above and below are self portraits of the girls. I have no idea why Sophia has such a large ear???
There is nothing in this world I would rather receive more than a piece of their artwork from my kids!!
Such a great thing to look at after having a hard day of Motherhood!! It sure isn't an easy job ( Motherhood) but seeing inside of their sweet lil minds is very rewarding!!
One of my favorite things to do is to have a good laugh. My good pal Mel and I always do a lot of that together! These photos were shot by my eleven year old daughter Sophia, who caught us clowning around on the back of the boat! We have no problem acting Silly!!
We just returned home from our annual House boating trip on Lake Mohave! What a wonderful time we all had. This was the first year to go back since Todd's dad passed away. He was greatly missed but his joyful spirit was with us through our journey.
We had five family's with a total of twelve kids on this trip! Two big house boats and a rented ski boat equals tons of priceless memories and a boat load of fun!! It was great to watch the kids especially the teenagers, Pranks and all!!
House boating is a small step above camping, lots of time spent relaxing on water and campfires. It has become one of my family's favorite things to do to start off the summer.
Here are some views of our camp site.
The picture above is of my three babies!!
And yes, the mom's were even fun bobbies!! I have to admit that was a blast, until we went over the wake and I punched myself in the jaw! Ha, Ha!
This is the only part that I cannot bare to watch. The guys are in charge of taking the kids to gasoline alley where they jump from the cliffs. Oh, that scares me to death!!
This is our fifth year of enjoying this trip with the family above!!
It was great to spend this time with such special friends!! These kids have all grown up together since they were itty bitty. They are more like cousins then friends! I am very blessed to have such a wonderful group to do life with!
I saved the funniest picture for last. We got hit by terrible winds the last night. It felt like a hurricane was whipping through the back of the boat. We had to start the engines on the boats to move them up to shore because we started to drift to the side. A rope got wrapped in one of the props so our big daddy Rick had to dive down in really cold water and make sure we were unhooked.
So Rick wins the Hero award for the 2011 Laughlin Trip!!
