I have been working on getting all of these jewelry pieces ready to list this week and I am happy to say that I finally started listing them this afternoon.
I bought the carved wooden Mary, that the necklaces are displayed on in Mexico. I bought her from the sweetest little shop in San Miguel, it was owned by the cutest old lady. Every time I look at it I think of her. All of the spikey wooden pegs make it a great piece to display my jewelry on.
I have introduced ammonites into my jewelry. I have fallen in love with them. I especially love the ones that have an opal look to them. You will notice that I have added tiny ones into my earrings. They mix so beautifully with gemstones.
I would like to introduce you to my dog Oliver's, girlfriend, Miss Ella. Just look at that crazy couple. Ella is my good friend, Julie's dog. Julie is also my neighbor. We got the doggies at the same time a couple of years ago and they have been best buddies every since. For some reason when ever Oliver and Ella get together they turn into mud puppies. They cannot keep their paws off each other. I just had to share some photos of them.
I swear having a dog is like having another kid. It was nice to keep him occupied for a bit so I could get some work done. I thought I would also share how messy I am!
I think I am best at making a complete mess. I decided to start working on my kitchen table since the natural lighting is best there. The problem is that I think my dog is part kitty, and he likes to climb up on crazy things like my kitchen table . He decided to do a little investigating this morning and he took off with some very expensive pearls!! Yes, he is cute but can be quite the little pain!! And an expensive one at that!!! I have also been told that chocolate can kill a dog, well like a cat my dog must have nine lives since he hunts for sugar. I found a whole power bar, wrapper and all, that he threw up yesterday. He quietly had stolen it from my sons back pack.
And yes I prefer McDonald's coffee over Starbucks! The good thing is, it is much cheaper!!
While taking these photos this morning, I looked up and realized that I STILL have the Valentines note that I made for my family up. And I am also late for a lunch date that I have today. AUGH, can I order an extra 24 hours to catch up on?? Do they sell that on etsy??? Am I the only one who feels like this??
The one good thing is, that I realized I never turned my clocks back and I am actually on time!! Big sigh of relief!! Deep breath, trying real hard to be better!!
I have been finding so much inspiration in nature and history. There is something so stimulating about raw stones and fossils. I am going to be listing the items shown on this post in the next few days. I have had so much fun working with all of this wonderful color.
You really should run over here and sign up for Heather Bullard's new on line Gazette that she has just released!! It is loaded with wonderful spring ideas, recipe's and how to's. Like always, she has done a beautiful job and the great thing is that the Gazette is FREE!!
