That I would be able to get my art room presentable in one week's notice!?!? That was like the amazing race!!! Anyone who is familiar with my art room knows it can get quite crazy in there. The lovely Jo Packham and the very talented photographer Michael Garland came out to shoot for Where Women Create, which is a wonderful new magazine that Jo has created with Stampington that is very similar to the book she published. I was very excited to be a part of it. Michael informed me that there was no need to go the the Rose Bowl Flea Market because I was already it. Augh, little scary!! Yes, I have loved old things for a long time, makes you realize how old you are really getting!! Too many years of flea marketing.
When we first moved into our current house five years ago, I was so excited to have a room to dedicate as a art studio. That was such a treat for me, since we had moved from a much smaller home. I could not wait to get in and make the room mine. I started by removing the closet doors and installing wooden shelves to hold baskets. I was so lucky at the time to find these wonderful wicker baskets at Target on clearance. I used old French sheets as curtains so I can close up the world behind the drapes to have a little more peaceful environment.
I must admit that I love my new work space clean and organized, to bad it won't stay that way for long!
