Well I left my bubble today and went on a journey south to San Diego. And oh what fun it was! Every time I go to Solana Beach, I wonder why I just don't pack up my bags and move south. Solana Beach is such a fun mix of neat and groovy shops and restaurants. I visited a few of my favorite places. First stop of the day was a hip shop called Solo. Pam and I have been visiting this place for years. I took a few photo's to share with you of one of my favorite vender's spaces. Her name is Ruby Lang and she has an incredible eye for finding unusual hard to find items and is so talented at displaying them. Thank you Ruby for sharing your wonderful eye for beautiful things with all of us.
Along with Ruby there are many other wonderful dealers at Solo. Another of my favorites is a girl named Jennifer Price. She has an amazing collection of industrial furniture, lamps and accessories. Love her stuff!!! You can also find unusual kids gifts, I usually come to Solo around Christmas time to find a couple of special things for my kids. I am just naming a few of the vender's but they are all amazing!!!
Another of my favorite shops is right across the street and is owned my soul sister Jen. To put icing on the cake, I was lucky enough to run into her today. Here is a photo of her. She is one of the sweetest gals you will ever meet.
Here is a photo of the front of her store the Leaping Lotus.
Jen carries a large selection of handmade jewelry by some amazingly talented jewelry artist. Jen also has a wonderful eye for beautiful things. Here is a photo of the inside of her shop.
Jen designed this great backdrop in her shop, made by her husband.
I feel in love with this vintage display case she has in her shop.
Well unfortunately the fun day had to come to an end, one last photo from the car..........
Who wouldn't love a town that has a statue of a surfer?!?!
